Máscara. More than the face, more than the surface.
In this lecture performance, Pedro shares his personal obsession with masks, going beyond shapes, colors, and materials, beyond the joy of carnival. In here, masks become biography, relationships, and a queering of everyday life; a desire for reclaiming the right to our identity. In “Máscara”, the mask is a queer tool to seek and find our place in the world.
Masks are not a shield, something that hides.
They are a microscope, a telescope… a magnifying glass!
