Sustainable Funding for the Independent Scene – From Short-Term Grants to Multi-Year Models
A roundtable discussion focused on how the independent cultural scene can operate in a long-term, sustainable way within an environment dominated by short-term grant funding. The meeting will open up the topic of multi-year and multi-source financing, the sharing of experiences from the Czech Republic and abroad, and dialogue between cultural practitioners, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, and local governments.
The aim is to identify systemic barriers, strengthen a shared line of argumentation, and seek pathways toward more stable conditions for work in independent culture.
The roundtable is organized in cooperation with Vize tance and the Malá inventura festival.
