Brrr & Skrrr

The experimental theatre collective KHWOSHCH adds a new piece to its portfolio. This time, it’s something a little different.

Ever since their first joint production (Dinopera), German Mathias Baresel and Czech Bobeš Havelka have been excited about the idea of a rap epic – a puppet production that offers audiences authentic rap. An experiment to see if puppets and rap go together. With a touch of exaggeration, but accompanied by a powerful synthetic sound and captivating visuals, they present to the audience their alter egos and together set off on a journey.

Combining a live rap concert and a new age epic, they tell the story of two friends, Brrr and Skrrr, and their journey to the Olympus of rap. Driven by cruel boredom and hope for a better life, they find music as a means of self-expression. Their career takes off and they soon learn the advantages and pitfalls of success. They learn what Trap means.
