The performative audio walk Hunters Have Eyes for Crying examines the growing bear problem in Slovakia as an example of more than human resistance and a disruption of the normative paradigm that has marginalized bears for centuries. We view bears not only as biological species, but as beings that share our space and history and open up possibilities for a different kind of coexistence. Respect in this relationship does not mean idealising or romanticizing, but a willingness to live alongside something that does not submit to us and retains its own autonomy.
Practical information
The meeting point for participants of the performance is Smíchovské nádraží at 15:30 or 14:30, depending on the day of the event. From there, we will travel together by train at 15:47 or 14:47 to the Praha–Žvahov station. PID tickets are valid on the train, and participation in the performative walk is only possible with a valid ticket purchased in advance. If you do not have one, you must buy it before departure, either on site or online via the Czech Railways website. We recommend bringing warm clothing and sturdy footwear.
