The production St.art, translated as sacred art, connects the worlds of sport and art and refers to the divine origins of ancient Olympians. At the same time, the title contains the word ‘start’ – a symbol of beginning, movement, and transformation, but above all a direct reference to the world of sport. Cirk La Putyka sets out on a journey from ancient Athens to explore the live of today’s professional athletes and bring it closer to the world familiar to artists. The two worlds may seem different at first but they are actually closer than they appear.
After the performance, a moderated mini-discussion led by Zuzana Šklíbová will follow.
