Applause: Ebb

21 2. / 16.30

English / 150 min programme at Galaxie Cultural Station + 90 min walk

The performative walk Applause: Ebb leads us from the outskirts of the city back towards its centre. The journey begins at Galaxie Cultural Station, where we will spend time in a space that has become an important point on the city’s contemporary cultural map.

Representatives of the festival 4+4 Days in Motion will introduce this unique architectural site and its current dramaturgy. The surrounding panel housing estate will then provide the setting for a newly emerging performance, Non-Violent Bodies, by performer and videomaker Karol Filo.

Before the walk itself, there will be an opportunity to attend the performance We, the Octopuses by the artistic group Ghost Compost.

The return journey towards the city centre unfolds together with DISCOllective. Applause takes the form of a performative walk guided by the presence and attention of the performers. As we move together from one festival location to another, we encounter objects, situations, and beings — including other people who may join us for a while. From these small pauses and attentive glances, stories gradually begin to emerge.

The performative walk Applause: Ebb concludes at ARCHA+.

Participation in both walks is possible subject to capacity. Tickets for We, the Octopuses must be booked separately.

Applause was developed within the artistic entity DISCOllective and is produced by the platform idto.upri.se. The project was realised in collaboration with the festivals Mladi levi (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and Malá inventura, with the support of World and Principlay.
